*MIT-ADT’s Tejas Patil secures spot in Indian Fencing Squad for Asian Games*
*PUNE / NEW DELHI:* In a major boost for Maharashtra’s sports fraternity, Tejas Manoj Patil, a student of MIT Art, Design and Technology (MIT-ADT) University, Pune, has been selected to represent the Indian Men’s Foil Fencing team at the upcoming Asian Games in Japan.

The official squad was recently announced by the selection committee of the Fencing Association of India. The final roster was decided based on national rankings and solid performances in top-tier events, including the Asian Senior Fencing Championship, World Championship, and Commonwealth Fencing Championship.

The selected athletes are currently participating in a national preparatory camp at Patiala, which will run until September 15. Following the camp, the contingent will fly directly to Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on September 16 for pre-tournament acclimatization.

Patil, who is pursuing his studies at MIT-ADT’s School of Computing (SoC), brings strong international exposure to the squad. He previously represented India at the prestigious Foil Grand Prix in Shanghai, China, and the Commonwealth Fencing Championship in Lagos, Nigeria, clinching two Silver and one Bronze medal.

Congratulating Patil on his international selection, MIT-ADT University Founder President Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Executive President Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive Director Dr. Sunita Karad, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajesh S., and Sports Director Prof. Padmakar Phad extended their best wishes for his campaign in Japan.
