MoU to focus on skill development, internships, practical exposure and enhanced employability for students across Maharashtra
Pune: In a move aimed at strengthening the connect between education and industry, CREDAI-Maharashtra and Practical Edu Skill (PES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to equip students across Maharashtra with industry-relevant skills, practical exposure and improved employment opportunities.
The MoU was signed at ‘Maha Samvad’, a special event organised by CREDAI-Maharashtra in Pune.
Sanmit Shah, President, Practical Edu Skill; Satish Magar, National President, CREDAI; Praful Tavare, President, CREDAI-Maharashtra; and Ashish Pokharna, Honorary Secretary, were present on the occasion.
The collaboration seeks to address the growing gap between academic education and industry requirements by providing students with opportunities to understand and experience the professional environment. As part of the partnership, various programmes focusing on skill development, internships, employability enhancement and hands-on industry exposure will be undertaken to make students better prepared for the workplace.
“Academic knowledge alone is no longer sufficient to meet the changing demands of the industry. Students need practical exposure, relevant skills and an understanding of how the industry functions. Through this partnership, our objective is to help create confident and capable young professionals who are ready to contribute from day one,” said Sanmit Shah, President, Practical Edu Skill.
The initiative will provide students with greater exposure to real-world work practices while helping them understand the skills and competencies expected by employers. It is also expected to create a stronger channel of communication between educational institutions and industry, enabling the curriculum and learning experience to become more aligned with emerging workplace requirements.
The partnership is particularly significant at a time when employability and industry readiness have become key priorities for students and educational institutions. By bringing industry experience into the learning process, CREDAI-Maharashtra and Practical Edu Skill aim to create a more effective ecosystem for career-oriented learning and skill development.
The collaboration is expected to contribute to the development of a skilled, confident and employment-ready youth workforce in Maharashtra, while creating a sustainable model of cooperation between the education and industry sectors.
