GHRCEM, Pune’s Material Testing Laboratory received NABL Accreditation
Pune: The Department of Civil Engineering at G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Pune Material Testing Laboratory, received formal accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This accreditation is granted for a four-year period.
This achievement validates the laboratory’s technical competence and commitment to providing high-quality testing services.
Dr. N B Hulle, Incharge Director said that The Material Testing Laboratory is accredited for a comprehensive range of critical construction material assessments, specifically including compressive strength testing for burnt clay bricks, fly ash bricks, concrete cubes, hardened concrete cores, and paver blocks, as well as the rigorous mechanical evaluation of reinforcement steel, covering diameter, nominal mass, percentage elongation, yield stress, and ultimate tensile strength.
This project leads, Dr. S. G. Ban, Technical Manager and Head of Civil Engineering Department, and Dr. A. G. Dahake, Quality Manager, whose meticulous planning and dedication ensured the laboratory met the stringent requirements of NABL.
Dr R D Kharadkar, campus director said this accreditation significantly elevates our capabilities in research, education, and industry consultancy, by maintaining these high standards, GHRCEM continues to reinforce its position as a center for engineering excellence.
