CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, celebrated its annual Convocation Ceremony for the graduating batch of 2026 on June 13, 2026. The solemn occasion marked a significant milestone for 492 students who successfully graduated across various academic disciplines, including Law, Business Administration, Commerce, English & Cultural Studies and Data Science. The ceremony was attended by distinguished industry leaders, university officials, heads, faculty members, parents and students.
The convocation was graced by two eminent corporate leaders as Chief Guests: Mr. Vinayak Pai, Managing Director and CEO of TATA Projects Limited and Mr. Sanjeev Rastogi, CEO of the Adani Global Capability Centre at Adani Corporate House. Their presence added immense value to the event as they inspired the fresh graduates to step into the professional world with confidence and a commitment to excellence & service.
The ceremony was presided over by the senior leadership of Christ University. The Chancellor, Dr. Fr. Saju Chackalackal, CMI, and the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Fr. Joseph C. C., led the convocation proceedings. They were accompanied by Dr. Anil Joseph Pinto (Registrar), Dr. Jyothi Kumar (Registrar of Academics) and Dr. Vijayasankar A. V. (Controller of Examinations).
The leadership team of the Pune Lavasa Campus, including Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas (Dean and Director) and Dr. S. Parameswaran (Associate Dean), were also present to guide and congratulate the graduating students.
In his convocation address, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Fr. Joseph C. C., highlighted the rapidly evolving professional landscape. He focused his speech on the changing course of employability in the coming future, urging students to continuously upskill and adapt to the dynamic demands of the global job market. Following this, the Chancellor, Dr. Fr. Saju Chackalackal, CMI, delivered an inspiring message centered on collaboration. He encouraged the graduates to cooperate and co-create in the upcoming uncertain age, advising them to always serve as a guiding light for others in society.
Reflecting on the core values of the campus, the Dean and Director, Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas, emphasized the importance of personal growth. In his speech, he focused on the transformational approach observed in the students during their time at the university.
