Scara Strengthens Leadership with Key Industry Hires to Drive Global Expansion, Publisher Partnerships, and IP Growth.

Leadership appointments include Nathaneal Slabbert as Head of Global Operations, Arun Sadasivan as Head of IP Business, and Karan Khurana as Head of Publisher Business, reinforcing Scara Gaming’s next phase of growth.

Mumbai, April 23: Scara, a global creative agency shaping the future of gaming, sports and culture, today announced the expansion of its leadership team as it sharpens its focus on three key areas of growth: international operations, publisher partnerships, and proprietary IP. As part of this expansion, the company has appointed Nathaneal Slabbert as Head of Global Operations, Arun Sadasivan as Head of IP Business, and Karan Khurana as Head of Publisher Business. Nathaneal and Karan were previously associated with Nodwin Gaming, bringing experience across the gaming ecosystem, while Arun joins from FanPlay and has earlier led GroupM’s Sports and Entertainment vertical in South India.

The appointments reflect Scara’s broader evolution into a more integrated business spanning ecosystem partnerships, cross-market execution, and owned properties. As gaming continues to converge with culture, creators, and live experiences, the company is strengthening the leadership capabilities needed to scale with greater depth and intent.

Nathaneal Slabbert, Head of Global Operations, will lead Scara Gaming’s international growth agenda, with a focus on expanding its cross-market presence and strengthening global operating capability. With more than 16 years of experience across esports, Nathaneal has helped build and scale competitive gaming ecosystems, including the ESL African Championship, PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Brazil, and the India editions of DreamHack, the largest immersive gaming lifestyle festival and LAN party. He also brings deep knowledge of how gaming communities, operations, and partnerships evolve across markets, especially in Africa. 

Arun Sadasivan, Head of IP Business, will lead the development and scaling of Scara Gaming’s proprietary IP portfolio. With more than 15 years of experience across sports, media, and entertainment, Arun has held leadership roles spanning business growth, strategic partnerships, and monetizable property creation. He was previously Chief Business Officer at FanPlay and earlier led GroupM’s Sports and Entertainment vertical in South India.

Karan Khurana, Head of Publisher Business, will lead Scara Gaming’s publisher partnerships and broader publisher growth strategy. With over a decade of experience in strategic partnerships and business development, including leadership experience at NODWIN Gaming, Karan brings a strong track record in building commercial alliances, scaling business verticals, and driving growth across the gaming ecosystem.
