GH Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune Signed MoU with QNX Software Systems to Establish Center of Excellence

Pune: For the strengthening industry and academia collaboration, G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with QNX Software Systems bangluru. This strategic partnership aims to enhance technical education, industry exposure, and employability among students. As part of this collaboration, a state-of-the-art Center of Excellence (CoE) will be established at the institute.

 

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. N. B. Hulle, In-Charge Director, and Mr. Sachin Umare, Dean, Training and Placement of GHRCEM Pune, along with Shri. Raj Jain, Vice President Engineering, ǪNX India Head and Site Leader, and Shri. Srinivasa Raju, CEO, Pi Square Technologies from QNX Software Systems. 

The initiative will introduce a 4 credit industry-integrated course for sixth-semester students, designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry requirements.

To further strengthen teaching capabilities, a comprehensive Faculty Development Program (FDP) will be conducted, comprising 40 hours of in-person training followed by two months of online learning. This program will equip faculty members with advanced technical knowledge and industry-relevant skills.

The collaboration will also facilitate hackathons, leadership connect sessions, and internship opportunities, providing students with hands-on experience and exposure to current industry practices. Overall, 240 students and 8 faculty members are expected to directly benefit from this initiative.
